Switching your Private Health Insurance
If you already have private medical insurance, you'll be pleased to hear that switching with Heritage Health is simple and quick. We just need a declaration from you, you won't need to fill in lengthy medical forms, just need a few basic details.

Can I change health insurer when I have a medical condition?
Most health insurance is designed to cover new medical conditions. If you are covered for a medical condition with your current provider then we may be able to carry on that cover. Each provider is different but Heritage Health will investigate what is available.
We'll need you to confirm that you're well and aren't waiting for any treatments or tests, and we'll need a copy of your current health insurance certificate.
Will I still be covered while I'm switching health insurers?
Yes. In most cases we will continue your cover without any gaps. Your old insurance will expire and your new policy will start from the same day, so you won't have any break in your cover.
